Duty
- Manage an assigned group of patients
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Document responses to nursing interventions and treatments
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products
- Maintain physiological data and intervene appropriately
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments
- Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
- Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff
- Coordinate referrals based on patient care needs
Requirements
- CVICU experience in a Level I Trauma facility
- 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling block
- Willingness to float to PICU, NICU, and Stepdown
Qualifications
- Strong CVICU experience
- Level I Trauma experience
- Comfort managing high-acuity and critically ill patients
- Flexibility to float outside the primary CVICU assignment as needed
