Travel Nurse RN - CVOR - $3,200 per week
Job Details
• 8-hour various day shifts, Monday through Friday
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• 13-week contract
• On-call requirements: 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup per week with occasional additional call as needed
• 30-minute response time required when on call - must be ready in the OR
• A personal vehicle is required for this position due to the 30-minute response time
• Every 3rd-4th weekend and holiday rotation required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required
• Minimum 3+ years of OR experience with anesthesia experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS, and Wisconsin RN License or compact RN license
• Required charting/equipment: Epic, Cell Saver, and Belmont
• Assigned 4-5 rooms per day across 21 ORs covering all specialties
• Responsibilities include assisting with intubations, fiber optic scopes during intubation, sterile techniques with central lines, placement of arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, and Swan Ganz catheters
• Additional responsibilities include starting IVs, drawing labs, setting up medication pumps, and running Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment
• Assist anesthesia providers with heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries with a main focus on the cardiothoracic program
• Prior experience with conscious sedation is a plus
• Must be flexible, adaptable to change, and willing to complete downtime tasks as needed
• Strong critical thinking skills and knowledge of all OR cases required
• 2-week orientation process with training for additional anesthesia skills provided
• Scrubs provided by the facility
