Travel Nurse RN - CVOR - $3,095 per week

About the role

Operating Room Open Heart Specialist in a Level 1 trauma facility. This position involves working in a cardiovascular operating room environment with a focus on complex cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, heart failure treatments, ECMO, VAD, and transplant surgeries. The role requires collaboration within a high‑acuity setting, providing specialized care for adult patients. Orientation dates are set for 11/9, 11/16, 11/30, and 12/7, with no orientations during the weeks of 11/23, 12/2, and 12/28 due to holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) performing complex cardiac procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, heart failure treatments, ECMO, VAD, and transplant surgeries.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in a high‑acuity Level 1 trauma facility.
• Provide specialized care for adult patients, including adult congenital, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, and trauma cases.
• May float between ORs but not locations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) experience.
• Prior travel experience.
• Ability to scrub per unit leader; circulating experience in cardiac surgeries required.
• Willingness to take call (3 layers of call, 24/7, with requirements varying every 6 weeks) in addition to working three 12‑hour shifts per week.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

12‑hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
