Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Days | Monday–Friday
Hours: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 8-hour shifts
Occasional Start: As early as 5:30 AM depending on cardiac case schedule
Local Candidates: Not accepted

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac/CVOR experience
• At least 1–2 years of general OR experience
• Previous travel experience preferred

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIC
• NIS
• Testing
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Study guide available
• CVOR / Case Mix Unit includes:
• 2 CVORs
• Hybrid room for TAVR procedures
• Approximately 2–6 cases per day
• Approximately 6 open-heart cases per week

Common Procedures

• CABG
• TAVR
• Pericardial windows
• VATS
• Open thoracic procedures

Call Requirements

• On a 6-week schedule, cardiac RNs typically cover approximately 10–12 call shifts.
• Call generally includes: 1–2 weekends per 6-week schedule, 1–2 weekday call shifts per week during the 6-week period, 30-minute call response time.
• Call rooms may be arranged if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• CNOR
• Completion of Periop 101 / OR internship
• Previous travel experience
