Travel Nurse RN - CVOR - $2,950 per week

Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Registered Nurse located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves supporting the anesthesia team in a busy cardiothoracic surgical environment, with responsibilities including assisting with advanced procedures and maintaining sterile techniques. The role offers a dynamic schedule with rotating shifts and requires a dedicated professional with anesthesia experience.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with heart surgeries, trauma cases, elective and general surgeries
• Helping with intubations, fiberoptic scopes, arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters
• IV start-up, lab draws, medication pump setup
• Operating Belmont and Cell Saver equipment
• Supporting anesthesia providers mainly focusing on the cardiothoracic program

Requirements

• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN
• Diploma indicating an associates or bachelor's degree in nursing
• Associates Degree or Certificate
• 3+ years of operating room and anesthesia experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Must possess or be eligible for Wisconsin RN license
• Flexible, resilient, possess excellent work ethic, and be capable of managing change
• A two-week orientation and ongoing training are part of the onboarding process
• A vehicle is required due to response time needs
• Compliance with vaccination policies during flu season

Schedule

Rotating shift, 8 hours daily, minimum of 40 hours per week.
