Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel CVOR RN for a 13-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The position requires one year of recent CVOR RN experience, current BLS certification, and ACLS certification preferred.

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
• Preferred ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgical procedures, preparation of the Cardiovascular operating room, assembly of equipment, supplies, medications, and implants, collaboration with the surgical team, and adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.

Essential Work Functions

• Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Prepare the Cardiovascular operating room for the patient and surgical procedure
• Assemble equipment, supplies, medications, and implants, ensuring equipment functions and supplies are available
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care
• Utilize data from surgical preference cards for the surgical procedure and surgeon
• Maintain sterile procedures throughout the course of surgery
• Respond effectively to emergencies during surgery
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
