About the role
Travel RN CVICU Cardiovascular ICU (CSICU) position at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to grow your cardiac critical care skills in a vibrant coastal city while caring for patients recovering from complex cardiac surgeries and acute cardiac conditions. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a Magnet-recognized teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients recovering from complex cardiac surgeries and acute cardiac conditions
- Utilize strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
- Work proficiently with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Requirements
- Active RN license
- At least 18 months of recent CVICU or CSICU experience
- BLS-AHA certification
- ACLS-AHA certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Must pass virtual interview to be considered
Qualifications
- 2 years of CVICU experience
- Experience with Nx or Next Stage CRRT, Impella 5.5, and IABP teleflex Compact (preferred)
- Previous travel experience (preferred)
- EPIC EMR experience (preferred)
