Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,674 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel nurse RN for a CVICU position in Newark, New Jersey. The position is for 13 weeks starting August 3, 2026, with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients
• Administer complex medications and treatments
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Provide education to patients and families
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies
• Adhere to infection control protocols
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a CVICU RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
• Preferred: CCRN certification, TNCC, NIHSS certification

Qualifications

Must be able to:

• Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
• Read/write in the English language
• Read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficient in PC skills
• Cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
• Work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
• Contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
• Possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
