About the role

Travel nursing assignment in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at a 583-bed acute care community hospital with a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital provides advanced cardiac surgical services and specialized intensive care for complex cardiac patients, including a 4-bed CSICU and 8-bed CSU (stepdown). Tuscaloosa is a lively college town with a rich arts scene and plenty of outdoor activities; Birmingham is about a one-hour drive away.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Work with complex cardiac patients in a specialized intensive care setting

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent cardiac surgical intensive care experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (copies required)
• SSN and date of birth required for compliance
• One professional reference from the last 12 months
• Preferred: Experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Schedule

• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 48 hours per week (36 or 48 hours/week optional)
• 12-hour night shifts

Pay

Pay Rate: $2,597.00 - $2,730.00 per week
