Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,595 per week
Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract beginning October 5, 2026. This role involves providing specialized care to adult postoperative cardiac surgery patients, including those with hemodynamic instability, active management of cardiac output, and patients on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). The position requires flexible schedules with rotating shifts and the ability to float as needed within the ICU.
Job Details
- Schedule: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (days, mids, and nights), with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts primarily from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with other rotating shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM and 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM.
Required Qualifications
- MD RN license
- BLS
- CPI
- ACLS
- NIHSS certification
- 2 years of experience in post-op cardiac surgical care
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with direct care of open heart patients immediately post-op
- Management of inotropic medications, hemodynamic instability, and advanced cardiovascular procedures
Additional Responsibilities
- Managing complex postoperative cardiac patients, including those on ECMO
- Floating to other units such as MSICU may be required

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
