Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,440 per week

Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare facility in Largo, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those recovering from CABG, valve surgeries, and other cardiovascular procedures. The RN will work a 12-hour night shift, engaging in comprehensive patient management within the CVICU setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Maryland RN license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 2+ years of CVICU and open-heart experience
• Familiarity with arterial line management, chest tube management, ventilator management, invasive procedures such as Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump
• Experience with complex cardiovascular patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with patient charting systems preferred
• Float rotation may be required within the specialty, sister units, and lower acuity areas

Additional Information

• The role involves immediate post-operative cardiac surgery care, including invasive monitoring, hemodynamic support, and intervention for complications such as cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, and multisystem organ failure.
