Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,401 per week

Binding Minds is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) in Asheville, North Carolina. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM), alternating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16‑bed CVICU with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 (occasionally 1:3 based on acuity).
• Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, and advanced cardiac support devices (IABP, CRRT, Impella, hypothermia equipment).
• Titrate vesicant medications, pressors, sedatives, and paralytics.
• Interpret telemetry and hemodynamic data, including PA catheter setup and interpretation.
• Document care using Cerner EMR.
• Adhere to unit scrub policy (navy blue or navy and white; green scrubs only if soiled).

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of recent RN‑CVICU experience in an acute care setting.
• ICU experience.
• Experience with titration of vesicant medications.
• Familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics.
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomies.
• Telemetry interpretation.
• Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation.

Qualifications

• CCRN certification recommended.

Skills

• Ventilator and tracheostomy management.
• Operation of Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment.
• Telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR.
• Ability to float to various units as needed.

Pay

• W2 (taxable) rate: $825.84 per week.
