Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,309 per week

About the unit

• 19-bed mixed unit CVICU/CVRU with a 1:2 or 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio depending on acuity; hold-over downgraded patients may be 1:3.
• Highly trained CVICU/CVRU charge nurses available to assist with any issues.
• Unit has an educator who begins your orientation.
• 13 day-shift RNs and 11 night-shift RNs, with a nurse’s aide on all shifts.
• Provides heart surgery for approximately 850 patients per year.
• Core nurses are trained in critical care, heart care, recovery, and all devices as they progress through their career.
• ECMO team nurse-run; also handles Impellas, IABP, and LVADS regularly. High-acuity, friendly unit focused on delivering great care.
• GE monitors and Cerner EMR in use.

Requirements

Must have

• BLS/ACLS
• Critical Care training
• 2 years of CVICU or CVRU experience
• Passion for surgical heart care
• High energy, upbeat personality

Preferred

• Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care
