Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,265 per week

About the Role

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a 13-week assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing comprehensive critical care to patients in the intensive care unit, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in patient condition
• Administer complex medications and treatments in accordance with approved critical care nursing techniques
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments
• Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions, notifying the appropriate provider of changes in patient status
• Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Communicate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies
• Adhere to infection control protocols and regulatory standards
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a CVICU RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with Wisconsin state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
• TNCC, NIHSS certification
• Other certifications or licenses as required

• Physical abilities: stationary position, moving equipment (50-100 lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
