Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,260 per week

About the Role

Malone Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13-week assignment in the CVICU at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. This position offers 36 hours per week on night shifts (12 hours).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity care in a 24-bed CTICU/CVICU unit with 1:1 to 1:2 patient ratios.
• Manage patients recovering from cardiac surgery, including those requiring Impella, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic procedures, ECMO, esophagectomy, lobectomy, pneumonectomy, TAVR, and bedside procedures (e.g., bronchs, Swans, epidurals).
• Maintain strict sterile field protocols during procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Utilize Cerner EMR, Phillips telemetry, and Alaris/Baxter pumps for patient care and documentation.

Requirements

• Active RN license and certifications: BLS and ACLS (CCRN preferred).
• Minimum of 6 months of ICU experience (CVICU preferred), including Level 1 Trauma experience.
• Experience with IABP and CABG.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed; failure results in a 6-month do-not-use status within CS AZ and Sacramento regions).
• Must pass a Day 1 SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Strict 50-mile radius rule: Driver’s license must confirm residency within 50 miles of the facility (no local rates).
• Travelers must have their own vehicle.
• Natural hair color and no facial piercings; male travelers must be clean-shaven for fit-testing.

Schedule
