About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel nurse RN for a CVICU position in Corvallis, Oregon. The position is for 13 weeks, starting as soon as possible, with 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor critically ill patients
  • Administer complex medications and treatments
  • Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses
  • Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring
  • Provide education to patients and families
  • Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies
  • Adhere to infection control protocols
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a CVICU RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
  • Preferred: CCRN certification, TNCC, NIHSS certification

Qualifications

Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend. Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Must have the ability to read/write in the English language, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail. Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.

Technical/motor skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail. Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
