Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,112 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) position in Concord, North Carolina. The assignment starts 11/22/2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Respond to emergencies hospital‑wide to perform CPR and operate defibrillators.
• Educate patients and family members on post‑procedure recovery and home management.
• Meet physical demands: stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, lift up to 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb when moving patients.
• Maintain composure in fast‑paced, urgent care environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (preferably in CVICU or critical care).
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
