Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,075 per week

About the role

This position involves providing specialized critical care in a busy, high-acuity Intensive Care Unit, with a focus on cardiovascular patients including heart transplants, LVAD, and valve surgeries. The role requires adaptability to floating and collaborative work within a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized critical care in a high-acuity, Level 1 Trauma ICU with 8 beds in each of two units, handling complex cardiovascular cases such as heart transplants, LVAD patients, and valve surgeries
• Work 12-hour shifts scheduled based on unit needs, with a minimum of 36 hours per week (typically 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., every other week)
• Remain flexible on scheduling and open to floating
• Manage titratable vasoactive drips
• Work within an ICU equipped with vents, Cpap, BiPap, and monitored via electronic systems
• Complete unit orientation including 2-3 shifts with preceptors
• Collaborate within a dynamic hospital environment operating under an intensivist model with RT coverage 24/7

Required Qualifications

• Experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of experience in critical care
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Experience or proficiency with CRRT
• Comfortable managing titratable vasoactive drips
• Willing to wait for license submission
