Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel nurse RN for a CVICU position in Louisville, Kentucky. The position will last for 13 weeks starting August 17, 2026, with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a CVICU RN, valid RN license, current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. CCRN certification, TNCC, and NIHSS certification are preferred.

Essential Work Functions

Assess and monitor critically ill patients, administer complex medications and treatments, operate and manage advanced life support equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, document patient conditions, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, provide patient education, adhere to safety protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Essential Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills, reading, writing, and communicating in the English language, ability to read and comprehend instructions, proficiency in PC skills, physical abilities, interpersonal skills, technical/motor skills, mental requirements, sensory requirements, adherence to safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
