Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $1,921 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Evansville, Indiana. The position is for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN, 13 weeks duration, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts, travel employment type. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years’ recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital‑wide.
• Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

• CPI certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years’ recent acute care experience)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
