Travel Nurse RN - Clinic Oncology - $3,195 per week

Job Summary

A Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse Practitioner is needed for an outpatient clinic setting in the Farmington, Connecticut area. This position involves working in an outpatient ambulatory care environment specializing in oncology patients, with a focus on chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments. The role offers a standard daytime schedule with no weekends, on-call, or major holiday requirements.

Schedule

Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient ambulatory care or similar settings
• Connecticut license or compact license must be on file at the time of submission
• Experience with oncology patients and outpatient care is required

Additional Qualifications

• ONS chemotherapy and immunotherapy provider card is preferred
• Ability to lift and restrain patients
• Knowledge of communicable/infectious diseases
• Ability to work effectively with a clinical team
• Ability to handle phone triage and problem-solving to meet patient care needs

Additional Information

• Float rotation may be required
• Incumbents may be exposed to risk of injury, communicable diseases, or disagreeable conditions
• May work closely with nursing staff in the chemotherapy infusion room but will not directly administer infusion therapies
• Local candidates are accepted
• Mandatory overtime participation required – staff may be asked to work additional hours as needed to ensure coverage
