About the role

The Oncology Clinic (ONC CLINIC) healthcare organization is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for an outpatient radiation oncology unit. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with prostate cancer, head and neck cancers, breast cancers, metastatic disease, lung cancer, brain tumors, skin cancers, lymphoma, and mesothelioma. The position requires the application of clinical skills in patient education, contrast infusion, and managing radiation side effects in an ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for oncology patients in an outpatient radiation oncology unit
• Patient education on treatment and side effects
• Contrast infusion during CT procedures
• Peripheral IV insertion and power port access/de-access
• Triage for contrast reactions

Requirements

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Valid nursing license
• Prior experience with peripheral IV insertion, power port access/de-access, contrast infusion during CT procedures, and triage for contrast reactions

Qualifications

• Certification as a Radiation Oncology Nurse is preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Outpatient setting focusing on radiation oncology
• Electronic medical records systems: Cerner and Aria
• No float or call responsibilities
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Dress code: solid-color scrubs
• Hospitalist team led by Dr. Lee onsite Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
