About the Role

The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family-centered care. Responsibilities include collecting and assessing data related to patient health status, developing and evaluating care plans, utilizing evidence-based practices, coordinating care across settings, and ensuring safety and effectiveness in care delivery. Additional duties include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with in-clinic minor procedures. Floating to other areas may be required based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • 2 years of RN Clinic experience
  • Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent
  • Past procedural experience in Hospital Based GI lab
  • Able to function as a RN and Endo Tech
  • Able to multi-task, attention to detail, must be a team player
  • Most of our procedures are MAC sedation – with anesthesia present
  • We have some moderate sedation procedures but not many
  • We use Epic Op-Time to chart
  • Procedures that we perform here include: Colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, Colon w/ EMR, EGD w/ dilation, EUS w/ fine needle aspiration

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in nursing
  • Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent
  • At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)

Skills

May float to other areas as needed for operational requirements. Participation in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development is expected.
