Job Summary

The Baltimore, Maryland-based clinic position involves providing care for established adult oncology patients in a specialized urgent care setting. The role focuses on symptom management, medication review, and patient education for current oncology patients, operating within a fast-paced environment that functions 7 days a week, 24 hours daily.

Job Details

  • Location: Baltimore, Maryland

  • Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • RN license

  • 2 years RN experience

  • BLS certification

  • Strong nursing experience in clinical settings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic electronic health record experience

  • Oncology, emergency room, urgent care, or infusion center experience preferred

Conditions Treated

  • Pain

  • Fever

  • Nausea

  • Complications arising from cancer treatments such as chemotherapy

Duties

  • Medication review

  • Patient education

  • Reviewing visiting summaries

  • Managing Epic in-basket for current oncology patients

Additional Information

  • The clinic is located in the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Building

  • Prior employment within any Johns Hopkins healthcare facility must be disclosed on the coversheet and in the work history for verification purposes

  • Candidates previously employed by Johns Hopkins facilities are required to be away for at least one year before applying as a traveler

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
