HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care UnitDiscipline: RNDuration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelIdeal applicants are those that are dedicated, motivated, and proactive - ready to complete online paperwork and onboarding quickly. Multiple start dates available! About the unit: Primary patient population is CV surgery and vascular surgery to include open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, Bentall, TAVR, etc), thoracic lung surgery (lobectomy, thoracotomy, etc.), esophagogastrectomy, AAA (open and endovascular), fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomies. We also receive overflow medical cardiology patients with diagnoses of heart failure, DKA, chest pain, sepsis, heart block, etc.· Number of Beds – 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds· Number of Staff – approximately 100 total· Type of equipment – Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, various lifts· EMR - Cerner Typical procedures performed on unit: · Epidural management· Chest tube management· Tube feedings· IV gluccomander· Cardiac gtt management (phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, ketamine) Requirements: 2+ years current acute care PCU hospital experience BLS, ACLS, NIH certificationsReq ID:1001996About HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCAAt HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, healthcare is not just about the four walls of a facility but about the people who provide and receive care.
