Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Aid with procedures such as cardiac stent placement, catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and vascular access.
• Maintain patient vitals, interpret ECGs, and manage medication administration, including anticoagulants and emergency meds.
• Ensure infection prevention, PPE compliance, and adherence to safety protocols like radiation safety and hypothermia protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage patient care within scope of practice, including float coverage and call responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac or IR setting; travel experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
• Proficiency with charting systems (Meditech preferred), and knowledge of invasive cardiac procedures.
• Strong skills in monitoring dysrhythmias, vascular access, and procedural sedation.
• Must have a valid active license (compact or state) and be willing to accept specific scheduling and shift requirements.
