Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Cath Lab - $2,990 per week

About the role

We're looking for Cardiac Cath Lab RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Cedar Rapids, IA. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As a Cath Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in a cardiovascular surgical environment providing assistance to the physician including maintenance and monitoring of EKG equipment, and assisting during angioplasty, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Learn complex technologies effectively.
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization to diagnose or treat heart conditions.
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements.
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
• Perform maintenance and monitoring of EKG equipment.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress effectively and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

• Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Duration: 13 weeks; 40 hours per week; Shift: 8 hours, days.
