About the role
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 16‑week assignment in Appleton, Wisconsin. The RN will provide specialized care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional treatments, working closely with cardiologists and the cath lab team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments prior to procedures, including medical history review and physical exams.
- Position patients correctly and ensure proper placement of EKG electrodes and cardiac leads.
- Assist physicians during procedures such as catheter, wire, balloon, stent, and structural heart device placements.
- Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, responding to changes in cardiac rhythms and waveforms.
- Assist in arterial/venous sheath removal using closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression, and transport patients to recovery.
- Monitor vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic parameters throughout procedures.
- Support post‑procedure care, ensuring smooth patient transition to the next phase of care.
- Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, keeping it fully stocked and functional.
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, families, and physicians.
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Requirements
- At least one year of recent experience as a Cath Lab RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with Wisconsin state regulations.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Preferred qualifications
- PALS or ENPC certification.
- RCIS certification.
- Other certifications and licenses as required for the position.

- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lb), push, pull, and bend.

Pay
Competitive travel pay based on 8‑hour shifts and a 40‑hour work week, with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
