About the role
The organization is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cardiac Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Wichita, Kansas. This position involves providing specialized patient care in a cardiovascular clinical setting, primarily performing procedures such as angioplasty and stenting. The role requires adapting to a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering quality cardiovascular services.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Perform cardiac procedures such as angioplasty and stenting
- Adapt to a fast-paced cardiovascular clinical environment
- Commit to one on-call night per week and one weekend per month
Requirements
- Valid Kansas RN licensure
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in a Cath Lab setting, with a focus on cardiac procedures such as angioplasty and stenting
Qualifications
- Experience with Mac Lab and Meditech electronic medical records system (preferred)
- Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment (preferred)

- Unit Type: Cardiovascular Laboratory
- Bed Count: 4 beds
- Staff: 12 team members including 3 techs and 9 RNs
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 (one nurse to one patient)
- Staffing Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, 40 hours per week
- Technology: Up-to-date equipment and experienced staff
