About the role
This position involves supporting cardiovascular procedures within the cardiac cath lab environment, with responsibilities including patient monitoring, assisting with catheterizations, and using specialized monitoring systems such as Micropace. The role is critical to ensuring high-quality patient care during complex interventions.
Schedule
- Day shift, 10 hours per day
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during cardiovascular procedures
- Assist with catheterizations
- Operate specialized monitoring systems, including Micropace
- Float to other areas as needed
- Perform phlebotomy and IV placement
- Support adult and geriatric patient populations in a team-oriented environment
Requirements
- Valid New York state nursing license
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
- Ability to scrub and operate the Micropace monitoring system
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electrophysiology procedures
- Familiarity with Micropace monitoring system
- Background in cardiac cath lab environment
