Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Cath Lab - $2,581 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Responsibilities
- Conduct assessment of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams
- Absorb and perform tasks such as positioning patients correctly for the procedure and ensuring EKG electrodes and cardiac leads are properly placed
- Assist in the placement of catheters, wires, balloons, stents, structural heart devices, and other cardiac interventions
- Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic waveforms
- Absorb and perform tasks such as assisting with arterial and/or venous sheath removal using closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression, and transport patients to the appropriate recovery area
- Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, ensuring everything is functioning properly and fully stocked for procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, families, and physicians to provide seamless care
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- One year’s recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
Qualifications
Prioritizing critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. They should also have the ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical abilities include remaining in a stationary position, moving about, moving equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, and bending. Interpersonal skills require working effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/motor skills involve the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental requirements include coping with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Sensory requirements include possessing visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.

The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced cardiac care skills, cardiac catheterization skills, strong communication, and the ability to adapt quickly while maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards.
