About the role

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) position in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves supporting invasive cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, invasive computed tomography, and ultrasound cases. The position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment within a recognized comprehensive stroke center and a designated Magnet hospital, with a focus on vascular and cardiac patient care.

This position involves assistance with invasive cardiac procedures, using specialized equipment such as IV pumps, specialty beds, bedside monitors, and telemetry devices. The role supports a trauma and stroke program, with policies in place for unit-specific procedures and safety. The successful candidate will join a team with advanced technology and a commitment to excellence in cardiac and vascular care.

Responsibilities

• Support invasive cardiac procedures including cardiac catheterizations, invasive computed tomography, and ultrasound cases
• Assist with vascular and cardiac patient care in a high-acuity environment
• Operate specialized equipment such as IV pumps, specialty beds, bedside monitors, and telemetry devices
• Support trauma and stroke program procedures and safety protocols

Requirements

• Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Experience with all cardiac diagnoses, especially vascular patients
• Experience with IV drug administration, chest tubes, and cerebrovascular accidents (CVA)
• ICU or Emergency Department experience
• Prior invasive radiology (IR) experience or moderate sedation experience is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Familiarity with vascular procedures and invasive ultrasound cases

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
