Role Overview

An ICU Registered Nurse provides critical care in high-acuity environments, assessing and monitoring severely ill patients, operating life-support equipment, administering advanced treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and respond to patient condition changes
• Administer complex medications and treatments
• Manage advanced life support devices
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and emotional support
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and interpret data
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately
• Educate patients and families about care and recovery
• Maintain proficiency through ongoing education
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum one year of recent ICU experience
• Valid RN license per state regulations
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move and operate equipment
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in team settings
• Proficiency in documentation and computer skills
