Travel Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
• Monitor vital signs and lab results
• Administer medications and treatments
• Manage complex conditions
• Provide post-surgical care
• Collaborate with healthcare team: participate in rounds, develop care plans, and communicate patient status
• Educate patients and families about recovery, medications, and lifestyle changes
• Ensure accurate documentation using electronic health records, comply with regulatory standards
• Maintain safety and infection control: follow protocols, respond to emergencies, and perform advanced life support if needed
• Support teamwork: work with interdisciplinary teams, mentor less experienced staff, and participate in quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Competency exam
• PCU experience required
