Travel Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate care for patients requiring higher monitoring than in general units, including post-surgical and complex condition management.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and lab results, and respond to changes.
• Administer medications, manage telemetry and invasive lines, and deliver post-operative care.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, participate in rounds, and communicate patient status.
• Educate patients and families on recovery, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Accurately document interventions and patient outcomes in electronic health records, adhering to regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control protocols and respond swiftly to emergencies, including performing advanced life support if needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members, support staff, and mentor less experienced nurses.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
