Job Details
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist 2 functions as a Scientific Technologist (Chemistry) and must be fully trained and self-reliant with routine Nuclear Medicine Tech techniques.
- Provides optimal exams and procedures, working closely with the Nuclear Medicine Physician.
- Performs full spectrum of diagnostic imaging, analyzes biological specimens, assists with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures including preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and uses imaging devices to record distribution within a patient's body.
- Responsible for patient safety protocols and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements.
- Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
Job Requirements
- 2 years of post-program graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- State of California Certified Tech Nuclear Medicine (CTNM) all scopes including venipuncture required.
Schedule Information
- Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 (12-hour shifts).
- Additional Saturdays are mandatory.
Additional Details
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccine and 1 booster or exemptions must be submitted for approval.
- Proof of MMR immunizations or positive IGG titer required; booster or declination accepted if negative titer.
- Fit Test will be completed onsite on start date.
- Proof of Hepatitis B vaccinations, positive antibody titer, or declination accepted.
- Influenza vaccine required from October to March unless otherwise indicated by CDPH; medical/religious exemptions require approval.
- TB test must be within 30 days of start with negative results; updated annually.
- Health statement signed within 1 year of start stating ability to work without restrictions; updated annually.
- Clear copy of valid Driver’s License or State ID required.
- Proof of Varicella immunizations, positive titer or declination accepted.
- Proof of Tdap vaccination within past 10 years or declination accepted.
- Criminal background check, OIG search, EPLS, OFAC, National Sex Offender, and Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List checks required within 30 days prior to start and updated as specified.
- Drug screen within 30 days of start required; updated annually.
- CHS Skills Checklist clinical specific required within 1 year of start.
- Confirmation of Assignment/Job Description, Acknowledgement of Receipt for Policy Packet, Dispute Resolution Agreement, Badge Photo, ROI for MyChart, Confidentiality of Receipt and other professional documentation required as per facility policy.
