Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist - $3,192 per week

About the role

We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) for an immediate travel opening in Kirkland, WA. The right NMT must have 1 year of experience. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for the preparation of radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images. NMTs provide technical support to physicians or others who diagnose, care for, and treat patients and to researchers who investigate the uses of radioactive drugs.

Responsibilities

• Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
• Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
• Provide assistance to patients during procedures
• Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT
• State-specific licensing where required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• Employment type: Travel

Pay

Pay package based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation); tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
