Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist - $2,930 per week

TotalMed Allied, a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 15‑week assignment in Peoria, Illinois. The organization focuses on placing highly‑skilled clinicians to ensure adequate staffing and a better patient experience. The role requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts and is offered as a travel position with an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
• Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
• Provide assistance to patients during procedures
• Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB‑CNMT
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
