Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech - $3,150 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Seattle, Washington. The position requires 1 year of experience and involves preparing radiopharmaceutical agents, administering them to patients, and operating imaging equipment under the supervision of a radiologist.

Responsibilities

• Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
• Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
• Provide assistance to patients during procedures
• Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT
• State-specific licensing as required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay & Schedule

Pay package based on 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Shift: 8 hours, days. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment type: Travel.
