About the role
This is a 12-week assignment with night shifts (19:00 - 07:00) on a 3x12-hour schedule. The position uses Epic as the charting system.
Pay
$2,041 to $2,238 weekly (includes taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements).
Responsibilities & Skills
- Adult Critical Care
- Aerosol set up (mask and trach)
- Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Xopenex, Racemic epinephrine, Pulmicort, Tobramycin, Mucomyst, Lidocaine
- Apnea Monitor
- ARDS, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Respiratory distress syndrome, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Pneumonia, Transient Tachypnea of the newborn
- Arterial punctures and drawing arterial blood gases
- Assist in high-risk delivery
- Bag and mask ventilation
- Bicarbonate administration
- BiPAP, CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Bronchoscopy assistance
- Capillary blood gases and umbilical blood gases
- Chest Physiotherapy (including Vest therapy)
- COVID patient care
- Direct Intubation (Neonatal, Pediatric)
- ET Tube management (suctioning, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms)
- Extubation
- Hand-held nebulizer therapy
- High-frequency oscillator and oscillating ventilator
- IMV (Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation) and SIMV (Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation)
- Inhaled steroids and Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) administration
- Intubation Assist (Neonatal, Pediatric)
- Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
- Nasal airway placement and suctioning
- Near drowning care
- Neonatal transports (inter-departmental)
- NICU and Pediatric Critical Care
- Nitric Oxide (INo) administration
- Oral airway placement and oral/nasal suctioning
- Pediatrics care
- Pressure/Volume Ventilator management
- Pulmonary Hygiene
- Sputum specimen collection
- T-piece management
- Tracheostomy care/management
- Troubleshooting ventilator alarms
- Weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Emergency Department care
- Oxygen tanks management
Requirements
- 1 year of experience
- Certifications: NRP, PALS, RRT, ACLS, BLS
