Travel NICU RN - $3,245 per week

About the role

Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care - Travel - (NICU RN) in Norfolk, Virginia. Start date: 11/02/2026. Available shifts: 12‑hour nights, 48 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Plans, provides and monitors individualized nursing care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice.
• Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient population.
• Works in CHKD's NICU, a Level IV, 70‑Bed unit.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with NICU experience.
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience (compact license accepted).

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• NRP certification; minimum 3 years of experience in a Level 3 or Level 4 NICU (candidates with 2 years from a large Level III may be considered).
• Flu vaccination required – no exemptions.

Pay

Pay rate: $3,164.00 – $3,326.00 per week (based on 12‑hour shifts, 48 hours per week). Tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Start date: 11/02/2026. Assignment length: 13 weeks. Shift pattern: 12‑hour nights, 48 hours per week.
