About the role

Take your NICU nursing skills to Shawnee Mission, KS, where you will care for newborns needing advanced medical attention in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The facility features a family‑centered culture, collaborative multidisciplinary teams, and compassionate support for patients and families. Located in Overland Park, KS, the area offers numerous pools, parks, golf courses, trails, the 17‑mile Indian Creek Hike and Bike trail, Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, summer concerts, farmers market, and easy access to Kansas City’s museums, dining, sports, and nightlife.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced care to newborns in a Level III NICU
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver family‑centered care and support

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
• Availability to work every other weekend

Skills

• Experience with respiratory support
• Knowledge of neonatal surgery
• Familiarity with developmental care
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (recommended)
