About the role
Travel Nurse – Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at CHKD, a Level IV, 70‑bed unit in Norfolk, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Plan, provide, and monitor individualized nursing care in response to specific patient needs.
- Deliver developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care to the assigned neonatal patient population.
Requirements
- Current RN license (compact accepted).
- Minimum 3 years NICU experience (Level III or IV); candidates with 2 years from a large Level III unit may be considered.
- Certifications: BLS and NRP.
- Current flu vaccination (no exemptions).
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with NICU experience.
- Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Travel assignment duration of 13 weeks.

Pay
Hourly rate: $2,386.00 – $2,508.00 (tax‑free stipend amount to be determined).
Schedule
- 12‑hour night shifts.
- 36 hours per week.
- 13‑week assignment.
