Travel NICU RN - $2,337 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) for an immediate opening in Brighton, Massachusetts. The assignment is 13 weeks duration, 36 hours per week with 12‑hour rotating shifts, and is classified as a travel nursing position.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to sick and premature infants.
• Assist the care team in delivering round‑the‑clock care and support to parents, ranging from emotional encouragement to education on infant care after discharge.
• Care for infants transitioning to extra‑uterine life.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment such as incubators and ventilators.

Requirements

• Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Qualifications

1–2 years of recent acute care experience in a NICU or similar setting.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 10–20 pounds of equipment as needed.
• Prepared to work in an environment with potential exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
