Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a NICU RN for a travel nursing assignment in Odessa, Texas. This 13-week assignment begins on September 8, 2026, and requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

- Administration of blood & blood products
- Anti-Seizure Medications
- Antibiotics/Antivirals
- APGAR scoring
- Arterial line management
- Assist with lumbar puncture
- Attend high risk deliveries
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Breastfeeding support/handling of breast milk
- Bubble CPAP
- Central line blood draw
- Central Line/Implanted Line Care
- Developmental care
- Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage)
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- High Frequency Ventilation
- Hyperbilirubinemia management
- Insulin administration
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- IV vasopressors
- Management of chest tubes
- Meconium aspiration
- Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC)
- Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
- Neonatal dosage calculations
- Neonatal sepsis
- Care for neonates 34 weeks and neonates 29-34 weeks
- NICU III experience
- Nitric Oxide (INo)
- Oxygen delivery systems
- Patient/family teaching
- Phlebotomy
- Phototherapy
- Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes
- Respiratory distress syndrome
- Sepsis work up
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Steroids administration
- Suctioning (ETT, NT)
- Surfactants
- Telemetry/unit monitoring
- Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket)
- Thermoregulation
- UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter)
- UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter)
- Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience (3 years preferred)
- Previous travel experience required
- Previous charge experience preferred
- 1-year experience in profession required
- Cerner charting system experience required
- BLS, NRP, PALS, STABLE certifications required
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Local candidates not accepted within 50-mile radius
- 36 orientation hours

Pay
Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ and may be subject to change during an assignment.
