About the role

Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care. Discipline: RN. Start Date: 10/12/2026. Duration: 26 weeks (contract length noted as 13 weeks). Location: Charlottesville, VA. Setting: Hospital. Shift: 12 hours, 36 hours per week. Employment Type: Travel. Typical schedule: 19:00 – 07:00. Pay range: $2,031.41 – $2,132.98 per week (based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours/week; tax‑free stipend amount to be determined).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU setting.
• Monitor patient conditions closely, including vital signs and medical equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• NRP certification in hand at time of submission.
• Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding certification (required; can submit pending, cost $200).
• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
• Unable to approve time off around Christmas.
• Can submit with Virginia license pending.
• Can approve up to 40 hours maximum for time off.
• Cannot approve time off during the first two weeks of the assignment.
