Travel NICU RN - $1,805 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care RN for a travel nursing assignment in Seattle, Washington. This is a 13-week night shift position working 36 hours per week. The right RN should have recent acute care experience. As a NICU RN, you'll provide critical care to sick and premature infants, assist in round-the-clock care, and support parents with emotional encouragement and guidance on infant care at home.

Responsibilities

• Care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment such as incubators and ventilators
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Lift 10-20 pounds of equipment at times

Requirements

• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• 3 years of experience
• 1-2 years' recent acute care experience preferred
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
