Travel NICU RN - $1,745 per week

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a NICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

About the role

The position is in a hospital setting, providing specialized nursing care to neonatal intensive care patients. This is a travel contract with a 12-hour night shift schedule (19:00 - 07:00).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal intensive care patients.
• Monitor and maintain ventilators, IV lines, and other medical equipment.
• Assist with procedures such as thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and blood sampling.
• Administer medications including surfactant and manage clinical diagnoses.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a NICU Registered Nurse (first-time travel nurses accepted).
• BCLS and NRP certifications.
• Experience with conscious sedation, ventilators, UA and UVC maintenance.
• Proficiency in procedures including invasive and noninvasive ventilation, IV access and maintenance, UA and UVC, Replogle, chest tubes, thoracentesis, venous and arterial blood sampling, and surfactant administration.
• Experience with diagnoses including Extreme Prematurity, RDS, TTN, Infection/Sepsis, Medical NEC, PPHN, Pneumothorax, MAS, Poor Feeding, Glucose instability, Late-preterm, and Respiratory conditions.

Pay

Pay range: $1,846.45 - $1,938.77 per week, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week. Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
