Travel NICU Registered Nurse - $2,315 per week

Job Summary

The profession is registered nurse (RN) specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) care, located in Lewiston, Maine. This position involves providing high-quality neonatal care within a Level III maternity trauma unit on a busy LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit. The assignment is a nine-week rotation with potential for night shifts and requires a commitment to delivering comprehensive inpatient care to neonatal and maternity patients.

Job Details

• Shift: 6:45 PM 7:15 AM (12 hours), rotating nights with weekly guaranteed hours of 36.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license;
• Certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS);
• 0+ years of experience in neonatal, labor, delivery, postpartum, or maternal/baby care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Level I Nursery, Mother/Baby, or circulating for C-Sections;
• Knowledge of obstetrical triage and use of external fetal heart monitoring (EFM).

Schedule

Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Additional Information

• The unit has a census ranging from 3 to 24 patients with a patient ratio of 1:6;
• Equipment includes external fetal monitors, IV systems, and radiant warmers;
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Managing a couplet assignment;
• Triage obstetrical patients;
• Administering medications;
• Assisting with deliveries;
• Newborn assessments;
• Postpartum procedures.
