Travel NICU Registered Nurse - $2,210 per week

About the role

Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) travel assignment in Baltimore, Maryland, providing specialized care on a pediatric floor with a focus on neonates, infants, and children. The role involves alternating day and night shifts with a consistent schedule to support patient needs.

Patient demographics: neonates, infants, pediatric patients. Diagnoses include prematurity, apnea of prematurity, retinopathy of prematurity, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cardiac defects, feeding issues, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS), and iatrogenic NAS.

Special equipment utilized: trach/vents, PICCs/central lines, TPN/ILs.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients with various diagnoses.
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 and 1900-0730) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float within pediatric and related units as needed; no on-call required.
• Complete compliance modules within five days of start and onboarding labs within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Cover every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Requirements

• Active Maryland or Compact RN license.
• BLS and CPI certifications (Calm Every Storm online vendor acceptable); ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric RN experience.
• Experience with 3-4 patient ratio; prior experience with trach/vent management preferred.
• Familiarity with pediatric Meditech charting system is a plus.
• Comfortable floating across units.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in community hospital settings, LTAC, and trauma levels I or II.
• Experience with pediatric Meditech charting system.

Pay & Schedule

• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (rotating day and night).
• Every other weekend required; holidays as scheduled.
• Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation), including tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
